Overview
For over eight decades, the name Gerolymatos has been associated
with the health care and beauty business in Greece. The Company's
history dates back to 1923 when the late Nicholas Gerolymatos, father of
Panayotis Gerolymatos, the current Chairman of the Board, opened a
pharmacy in the center of Athens. Guided by the values and philosophical
convictions of the founder, the small family pharmacy business that
employed three people in 1923 has grown into a diversified company with
interests in a broad range of health and beauty businesses in Greece and
internationally. Today, the Company employs over 1,100 people.

Today, through its various business
units and legal entities, the Company distributes, markets and
manufactures a broad range of health care and beauty products in Greece
and internationally. With an extensive array of business collaborations
and alliances with leading international companies, and a rich portfolio
of proprietary products, the PNG Gerolymatos commands leadership
positions in the various segments in which it competes. In addition to
the distribution and marketing of health care and beauty products, the
Company also provides contract manufacturing, logistics and related
services. The pharmacy, which served its first customers in 1923,
continues to operate in the center of Athens.
Beyond the confines of the Greek borders, the Group has established an
international presence in several key markets through a network of
distributors, subsidiaries and joint ventures with local companies.
With a keen focus on exploring new opportunities and managing the
business for the long-term, the Company has made several acquisitions in
recent years and is also actively developing several new products.
