Pharmaceutical wholesaling is a multi-faceted business that involves
not only the specialized storage and movement of pharmaceuticals and
over-the-counter (OTC) products, but also an array of value-added
marketing and support services. With approximately 10,000 pharmacies
that dispense in excess of 360 million units annually, the Greek
pharmaceutical wholesale industry provides the essential link between
pharmaceutical companies and pharmacies.
Dealing in both prescription pharmaceuticals and OTC products, PNG
Gerolymatos’ Pharmaceutical Wholesale Business was launched in 1999.
Since then Gerolpharm has been constantly expanding its offering and
today carries a wide range of pharmaceutical products and offers a
comprehensive line-up of services.
As a pharmaceutical wholesaler, Gerolpharm’s mission is to offer
comprehensive services of the highest quality to pharmacies, ensuring
the safe and uninterrupted supply of pharmaceuticals and OTC products
and contributing to the business growth of retail pharmacy outlets.
Recently, a new purpose-built
warehouse and distribution center that houses a fully automated picking
system, developed by KNAPP Logistik Automation, the leading automation
systems company specializing in pharmaceutical wholesaling operations,
were placed into operation.
Through frequent delivery programs, Gerolpharm’s distribution network
enables pharmacists to order pharmaceuticals products in small
quantities that effectively match their daily needs. This eliminates the
need for retail pharmacies to maintain large and expensive stocks. In
addition to the normal delivery service, Gerolpharm provides an
emergency service to meet urgent needs that fall outside the normal
delivery pattern.
Consistent with the very high standards employed by Company, all
delivery vehicles have refrigerated storage space. This ensuree the safe
delivery to pharmacies of even the most sensitive pharmaceutical
products.
With an experienced field sales force visiting over 3.000 pharmacies all
over Greece utilizing state-of-the-art e-sales technologies, Gerolpharm
has tremendous promotional and order fulfillment capabilities and
provides truly outstanding levels of service. In servicing its customers
and collecting orders from the pharmacy retail outlets, Gerolpharm also
utilizes a tele-sales function.
Recently Gerolpharm re-launched the Foltene line of hair care products
in the Greek market. Foltene is recognized globally as a leading brand
of specialized products against hair loss.
