The trend towards outsourcing has gained momentum in recent years. With
a view to achieving superior levels of performance and containing the
need for investments in local distribution and manufacturing operations,
international pharmaceutical companies have turned to third-party
logistics providers and contract manufacturers for their local needs.
PNG Gerolymatos had the foresight to recognize the emergence of this
trend early on and several years ago made the strategic decision to
enter the services market. Today, the Services Division of the Comapny
offers a comprehensive line-up of value-added contract manufacturing,
pre-wholesaling, logistics and related services.
A. Prewholesaling, Logistics & Related Services
Ranging from order processing to order fulfillment, from warehousing to
transportation, and from billing to the collection of receivables,
outsourcing solutions are tailored to address the unique and diverse
needs of the Company's client-companies.
The Company’s logistics infrastructure included warehouses and
distribution centers in Kryoneri, and two facilities strategically
located on the Athens - Salonica highway in Inofyta. By combining these
facilities with state-of-the-art transportation and warehouse management
systems, and a well-trained and experienced workforce, PNG
Gerolymatos provides exceptional levels of service in a cost-effective
manner.

B. Contract Manufacturing
Over the years the Company has made significant investments in
manufacturing facilities. These investments include the expansion,
overhaul and modernization of the Company’s first plant, initially
placed in operation in 1982, the purchase of the Glaxo Wellcome plant in
1998, and the addition of the Menidi plant in 2001. Through its three
manufacturing plants, the PNG Gerolymatos manufactures a wide range of
human and veterinary pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, toiletries, and
personal care products.
Recently, three new production lines
were installed in the Company’s production facilities in Kryoneri and
Menidi for the production of Sinomarin (a hypertonic nasal cleaning
solution based in pure seawater), Pulvo (pharmaceutical aerosol for
external use) and Foltene (specialized hair products against hair loss).
The Company’s facilities and processes comply with the most stringent EU
regulations and GMPs. With its extensive capabilities and flexible
infrastructure, the PNG Gerolymatos provides an array of contract
manufacturing services to client-companies, ranging from the conversion
of raw materials into finished goods to simple primary and secondary
packaging operations.

Through astute investments in distribution and manufacturing
operations, and the constant enhancement and enrichment of its service
offering, the Services Division has significantly grown revenues in
recent years and has emerged as a major player in the contract
manufacturing and third-party logistics sector. In addition to the
Group's business units, the Division's roster of clients includes many
of the world's largest pharmaceutical companies.
