The role of the Company's Corporate Business Development function is
to identify, assess and develop new businesses in Greece and abroad.
Covering an extensive range of health and beauty sectors, this function
leads the new product development process, develops collaborations with
international and local companies, directs merger and acquisition
activities, and oversees the establishment of new business units,
companies and joint ventures.
The Company’s international
expansion and the establishment of companies in France, Turkey, Italy
and the USA are outcomes of business development programs that were
identified in the past. Today, the Company is actively exploring various
strategic initiatives in the international arena, including acquisitions
and the establishment of new ventures in selected markets. Recently, a
new joint venture company was established in Hong Kong.
To improve proximity, efficiency and overall profitability of
international operations, the Company's strategy entailed the
establishment of foreign subsidiaries and offices in key markets.
Through its subsidiaries and joint ventures, the Company currently
enjoys a direct presence in several key markets:
Foltene Labs S.p.A. (Como, Italy)
Subsidiary specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of
specialized products against hair loss and related product categories.
Larus Pharma S.R.L. (Milan, Italy)
Subsidiary specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of
specialized mosquito repellents and various other OTC products. Natural
Pharma S.A., based in Switzerland, is the parent company of Larus Pharma
S.R.L.
GENESIS
Ilac. (Istanbul, Turkey)
Subsidiary engaged in the marketing of pharmaceutical and OTC products
in Turkey.
Genesis Labs Ltd. (Hong Kong)
A joint venture with a Chinese company which is prominent in the
dermatological therapeutic category in China.
Gerolymatos Inc. (New York, USA)
A wholly owned subsidiary engaged in the marketing and distribution of
the Company’s proprietary products in the USA. Concurrently, Gerolymatos
Inc. also acts as a liaison office for cross-licensing of pharmaceutical
products.
Laboratoire Aim / Group Gerolymatos (Chatelaudren France)
Subsidiary active in marketing and distribution of OTC products in
France and French-speaking Africa. Palcrest Ltd, based in Cyprus is the
parent company of Laboratoire Aim / Group Gerolymatos.
Ultimode Ltd
An associated company engaged in the marketing and distribution of
Coty/Lancaster fragrances, Kanebo skin care products and La Prairie
Cosmetics in the Balkans
